The later years
Life expectancy during the time of the Roman Empire was only 25 years. In the 20th century an average life expectancy increased to 50 years. By 2030, living past 85 will be the norm. Embrace and celebrate old age in a natural setting of the Green Golden Years (GGY).
Time in nature
The benefits of nature exposure on health are well established. In older adults, it has been shown to promote overall health and quality of life, physical strength, fitness and flexibility, cognitive ability and socialization.
Green Golden Years (GGY) offers a retirement home on a farm. Our focus is on aging healthy and happy. We provide our residents an environmentally sustainable setting by fostering a connection with nature. We help seniors retain an active community involvement that mitigates against memory disorders, illnesses like dementia and promotes self-esteem.
To impact large-scale change, we extend mobile vertical farm solutions to traditional nursing homes and retirement homes. Our ethos of an elevated aging lifestyle is not limited to our residents but as many elderly populations as we can.
Sign-up for GGY if you operate a retirement home and are interested in bringing green space to your facility.
